CHECK POINT AND CYMPIRE LAUNCH THE CYBER RANGE AT CPX 360 / Jan 30, 2019
BANGKOK, Thailand – Jan. 30, 2019 – Cympire, provider of advanced cyber training platforms, and Check Point, a leading global provider of cyber security solutions, launched the Check Point Cyber Range at CPX 360. The launch follows the companies’ execution of an Authorized Training Center (ATC) agreement earlier this month. The Check Point Cyber Range is powered by Cympire’s SPARTA platform – a cloud native, flexible, fully gamified cyber simulator. Using the range Check Point will offer an array of training scenarios to its customers under a Training as a Service (TaaS) model
Attendees of CPX 360 Bangkok were invited to experience the Cyber Range hands-on in a series of Red teams (i.e. Ethical Hacking) and Blue teams (defense simulation) competitions. The scenario played resembled the Marriot data breach following its acquisition of Starwood Hotels – a large company’s network becomes vulnerable due to an integration with a smaller company’s network following its acquisition. Blue teams, equipped with Check Point’s Infinity suite, faced a malicious attack and competed against one another to defend their network, gain points and emerge victorious.
The Cyber Range will also be available during the upcoming CPX 360 events in Las Vegas (February 4-7) and Vienna (February 18-21) at the preliminary training day and the event’s Expo.
“We are delighted to have launched Cyber Range with Check Point at CPX 360,” said Ophir Bear, Cympire Co-Founder and CEO. “This was an amazing opportunity for us to demonstrate our cyber training philosophy of hands-on training using our fully gamified platform. The professional Check Point team defined the desired training scenario, and we are proud to have been able to deliver on their requirements in a short timeline thanks to SPARTA’s flexible cloud-based design.”
“Cympire’s platform has once again proven its remarkable flexibility and technological depth,” said Inbal Pearlson, HackingPoint™ Program Manager, Check Point. “We were able to quickly integrate the Check Point Infinity Suite tools into the scenarios letting our guests experience the power of our Gen V solutions hands-on. The traction the Cyber Range received in Bangkok was tremendous and we expect it will grow further in the upcoming CPX events in Las Vegas and Vienna.”
Cympire was founded by cyber, simulation, training and gaming experts, who believe that mission-ready cyber professionals are a key to a safer world. The company develops unparalleled cyber training solutions for both red and blue teams. SPARTA, Cympire’s flagship product is a flexible, cloud-based fully gamified cyber simulator that can support any network typology or IT system.
